Masters is a
competition for 8 guys that get together once a
year to play golf. For years, we've paid good money to travel around
the world only to be beaten by one of the brothers Grimm. Indeed, they
are the true Bandit Masters!

Welcome to the Bandit Masters 2012 |
The Bandit Masters Tour moved to Omaha Beach in Normandy for the 2012 Championship. The hotel was a 15 minute walk from Port-en-Bessin, which was small and charming with some good restaurants, but hardly lively as it proved difficult get a beer after 10pm! Over the years, we've found a few golfing gems (such as La Bretesche, Dinard and Le Val Andre) and this year was no exception with the Le Manoir course at Omaha Beach winning the admiration of the Bandits. We liked it so much we played it twice! |

The consensus of opinion as we left
for France was the competition was wide open this year. Luddy's
pre-tour form had been erotic and to make matters worse, he was now playing to a handicap of 12.
Rex was also not on form, and playing against some ridiculously high
handicaps, was not feeling confident. Bob was dobbing well, so was
considered a candidate. Martin was the wild-card as he was
recovering from a major back operation only months before, but had scored well in the few rounds he'd actually played.
Well,
who actually made the premiership? Fourth place went to a very pleased
Windy - it's been a few years in the
wooden-putter wilderness for Windy! (Maybe that £1000 was worth it.)
Bob dobbed and putted persistently well, to gain third spot. Well done
Bob. In second, was the medically enhanced, sorry impaired,
Martin who did amazingly well considering how much he's played this
year.
The Bandit Master for 2012 was Tom, who played with great consistency,
considering his handicap, sealing the title with 38 points at Omaha, Le
Manoir on the last day. Congratulations Tom. The dynasty
continues!
