The Bandit Masters is a competition for 8 guys that get together once a year to play golf. For years, we've paid good money to travel around the world only to be beaten by one of the brothers Grimm. Indeed, they are the true Bandit Masters!

Welcome to the Bandit Masters 2013 Tour

The tour returned to Des Ormes for this year's Bandit Masters trophy. With a number of major handicap changes, Tom on 17 (yes 17) , Rex 15 and Luddy down to 12, it was predicted the Bandit Masters 2013 Tour would be wide open this year.

After the usual confused team selection process at East Ilsley , we all teed off with great expectations at Des Ormes on the Monday morning. Tom, the defending champion, had an OK start with 29 points with Martin showing his intent with the best score of 33. The Tour then moved onto St Malo Le Trochcet were Luddy won the day with a highly creditable 37, while Martin kept himself very much in contention with 36 along with Tom on 35.

The third day, on the picturesque Links at Dinard, saw some outstanding scores with Martin on 40 points, followed by Mike and Rex on 37. With Luddy accumulating just 29 points, his rear-guard action seemed to be waining. The final day at Val Andre was Tom's last chance to keep the bankers at bay and retain the title. However, he needed a miracle round but it wasn't to be and, for the first time in living memory, a Starcevic was not champion!

Making full use of his shiny new Ping driver, Martin played with outstanding consistency achieving an average of 35.5 Stableford points to take the Bandit Masters title by a massive 11 point margin! Congratulations Martin, a thoroughly deserved win - breaking 10 years of domination by the brothers.

Rex had a great week finishing second, climbing from the depths of last place in 2012. Luddy kept himself in the first division, along with Tom in 4th, despite a disaster darling at Val Andre. Last and least, the wooden putter was awarded to a very disappointed Windy (again).
