year to play golf. For years, we've paid good money to travel around
the world only to be beaten by one of the brothers Grimm. Indeed, they
are the true Bandit Masters!

Welcome to the Bandit Masters 2015 Tour Results |
The Bandit Masters returned to Vannes for the 2015 Tour. It's our third visit to the medieval town - it has a great combination of golf courses, restaurants and bars to keep the Bandits entertained. In fact, you may be surprised to know some of the bars are not gay, unlike the one above. The politest thing you could say about this year's weather was "mixed." All week there was a mixture of wind and rain with the occasional sunny spell in between. We did get wet a few times, but managed to miss the biggest downpours while on the course. Day one was very much as last year with Windy first (just), Rex second and Petar with his usual indifferent start. Day two at Ruys Kerver saw Rex move into a commanding lead, Luddy performing much better and Windy falling away. The penultimate round at St Luarent was wet and blustery but Windy managed to prevent the usual implode and ended up with highest score of the day. However, Rex was only one one point behind, so overall he was proudly holding his own, way out in front. Was this Rex's year? ....Of course it was!! With an emphatic 39 point win on the last day, Rex took the championship by one of the biggest ever margins of 12 points. Windy was a surprised and happy second, followed by Luddy then Mike. Overall, the form book was turned on it's head this year, with two former owners of the the wooden putter in first & second place and some very surprising names in lower division! Congratulations Rex, you played solid golf all week. Your average of 35 points per round was outstanding, especially when you consider the wet and windy conditions facing us most of the the week. |
